Communique from Marshal Leonard D'Armand to his cousin, the Emperor:

Rodney, at the moment I don't know wiether to kiss you or kick you...  assuming you dont think the latter would be treasonous.  Per your instructions, I have taken command of the 2nd, 4th, and 8th divisions, as well as the 4th fleet, and have secured a beachead on the planet of Nueva Terra with the express purpose of putting down the rebellion.

Once on the planet, however, these scum have unveiled yet another weapon in their war against us.  They call it the Reeves, but my men call it silent death.  Quite simply put, this machine of theirs can, under a skilled pilot, outfight anyone piloting less than a Marshal or custom built mecha!

The main weapon of this monstrosity is a heavy cannon lovingly dubbed by the rebels the Flug gun.  This weapon fires high impact flechettes capable of damaging every component of a mecha at once, and with a good hit can even damage the highly refined armor that we use to protect our field commanders.  To this, they have added a pair of launchers carring their dammed Shield II missles, capable of obscuring large areas of the battlefield as well as their doubly dammed Gladius FASCAM missles.  An armor piercing sword carried in a shield binder completes the offensive armament.

In defense, these rebels are equally tenacious.  They have found a way to completely cloak their mecha, in addition to giving it armor protection equal to that of a Marshall.  Its large shield allows it to hunker down behind it and protect itself from even blast radius munitions, while its environmental protection allows it to strike and then retire into areas in which my troops cannot pursue.

The hastly introduced helms of their mecha have become standard on this model, mounting a powerfull spotting radar, and the rest of its sensor package is easily the equivalent of those fielded on our best models.  In addition, these mecha carry ejection seats which our Sniper mecha do not, as well as a wide range of options designed to improve operator efficency.  Fortunatly, they do not appear to be fielding AI units to assist in the pilot's workload.

This mecha is fast, capable of sustained flight, unlike any mecha in our inventory.  They have also added manuver verniers and an increadibly oversized powerplant, making it more nimble than any of the mecha in our inventory.  The only bright spot that I can see is that the cost of such a unit must mean that they cannot produce a great number of them, yet these scum operate their units aggressivly.  The Mech can be reloaded in the field without any special equipment, allowing these units to operate with greater freedom from the army support echelon.  Accordingly, instead of using these units as scouts, the ANA rebels have taken to using them as commando units.

Never operating in more than platoon strength, and often alone, these mecha will creep into range of rear area forces and unleash a devestating attack, then engage their cloaks and vanish into this harsh wilderness.  Often, the first clue a formation has that it is under attack is when the first shells strike.

Cousin, I beg of you... We must find a way to neutralize these superweapons, or even I cannot guarentee the pacification of this planet and the return of the rightfull order.
