This is Rutgers Industries most popular product,  with litterally Millions of Rescuers scattered all over colonized space.   They are widely used on New America itself, due to the need to protect Construction and Rescue workers from the various large man eating critters that seem to love the taste of Man.



RSQ-1 Rescuer

The hazardous conditions in most construction jobs and the need to protect the workers and rescuers from the conditions lead to the development of the RSQ-1 Construction and Rescue mecha. While never meant to be a front line battle unit, it has from time to time been thrown into that role either as an engineering mecha, or just because there was nothing else available.

The Rescuer is equiped with advanced sensors, as well as a grapling hook for pulling mecha / itself out of hazardous situations.  By leaving the hook closed, it can deliver a decent punch against an intruder as well.  Its cutting and Welding torch can be used to nasty effect against a combat unit, but only at the cost of quickly draining the combustion charge. Its top mounted water cannons can be used for excvation, fire supression, or to knock over enemy mecha, while its large front mounted bulldozer blade can be used as an imprompto shield against attacks comming from the front as well.  OF note is the fact that it also carries hammers and wrenches cliped to the back side of the dozer blade, but these are of no practical use in combat.
